Raging Bull: 17.68m Lobster Fishing Vessel
A change from recent lobster fishing vessels designed by Southerly Designs, Raging Bull was designed for a client fishing for South Australian lobster. Built by Dongara Marine, she features a custom designed bow shape to client preferences however retained majority of Southerly Designs renowned hull features, providing fantastic seakeeping and performance. Powered by a single 965hp MTU engine, she topped out at 23 knots and more importantly, cruised effortlessly at 17 knots.
Within the composite wheelhouse, the main deck features the helm station, galley and mess. Below the wheelhouse, the accommodation deck features a queen-sized berth in the master’s cabin and 2 berths in the forward cabin that meet the requirements of AMSA NSCV AL36-72. Along with capacity for 750 kg of live crayfish and fuel capacity of 4000 litres, she is well equipped for overnight trips to fishing grounds to reduce costs and ensure crew comfort.
