Little Dryden – Utility Vessel
“Little Dryden” is Southerly Design’s solution to a strict and very challenging design brief from Bhagwan Marine. Required to fit within a strict footprint onboard Bhagwan’s 57m dive support ROV “Dryden”, have a fully loaded weight less than 4t to match the Dryden’s onboard crane, provide a bollard pull of 4t for line handling purposes, and also cater for secondary roles of crew transport and shallow water survey – Little Dryden efficiently achieves all of these requirements. Although there was a focus on the bollard pull during the propulsion system design, Little Dryden also achieves impressive speeds with great ride comfort to suit – something Bhagwan Marine were happy to have as a bonus.
