Gambler: Lobster Fishing Vessel
Following on from 2016’s Daydawn, Southerly Designs, Xtreme Marine, and Dongara Marine delivered another high capacity cray boat in late 2017. Slightly smaller than Daydawn, Gambler boasts the same MTU V8 twin screw power plant, twin keels and modular FRP superstructure construction. This allows her to cruise comfortably at 17 knots and push 25.5 knots at full throttle.
Officially measuring 21.8m (71.5ft) she is by no means a small vessel and achieves a total carrying capacity of 104 baskets of live tank capacity. The new addition to Southerly’s industry leading range of crayfishing boats is already turning heads as she enters service.
